A licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Buscho has a private practice in San Rafael where she specializes in divorce coaching, parenting planning, and co-parenting counseling. Ann regularly presents on Collaborative Practice and consensual dispute resolution topics to statewide, international and local mental health and service organizations and conferences, including the annual California Psychological Association and California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists Conferences, at the annual state conference of CP Cal, and the annual conference of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.

Dr. Buscho’s experience and training in working with families where divorce is current or past has taught her to focus on helping parents develop parenting plans which support the health and well-being of all family members. She has a depth and breadth of professional and personal experience in co-parenting, step-parenting, and single-parenting issues.

She helps parents establish nesting, or birdsnesting plans, to keep the children in the home while the parents rotate on and off-duty. This is usually a temporary arrangement to help stabilize the family while the future of the marriage is resolved (reconciliation or divorce) .Her book, titled A Parent's Guide to Birdsnesting: A Child-Centered Solution to Co-Parenting During Separation and Divorce will be released in September 2020.

Ann is also a co-founder of a residential treatment program for traumatized emergency responders and their families where she volunteers regularly. She graduated from Stanford University and the California Graduate School of Psychology.
