About Collaborative Practice North Bay

Collaborative Practice North Bay (formerly Collaborative Practice Marin and Collaborative Practice Sonoma) is a group of locally-based professionals interested in avoiding court battles and power struggles to resolve conflicts. We are a multi-disciplinary, multi-field group open to all licensed professionals interested in Collaborative conflict resolution.

Our mission is to educate the public about Collaborative Divorce, to advance excellence in Collaborative Divorce practice among our members, and to work together in multi-disciplinary teams to help people resolve disputes peacefully, respectfully, and out of court.

The groups include family law and estate planning attorneys, mental health practitioners, neutral financial professionals, and other types of experts who may be involved in a Collaborative conflict resolution process. Monthly meetings among the professionals provide an opportunity to learn more about Collaborative Divorce as well as to become better acquainted with other Collaborative professionals. Our groups provide additional training and continuing education and are  involved in the coordination of public education projects related to Collaborative Divorce.

Although we are primarily located in Marin and Sonoma Counties, our members include professionals from throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

We are committed to the Collaborative Divorce process, an approach to solving problems by reaching mutually agreeable solutions. Clients and professionals work together, respectfully and in good faith, to gather the information needed to reach an agreement. The goal is a win/win situation for all.
